We got in more beach and pool time before the rain came again. Amanda and I braved hurricane force winds (o.k. I'm exaggerating a LITTLE) to go shopping at Seaside so I could get the shrimp roll I've been craving all week, which was $3 more this year than last year. Other than the cost of shrimp (I have seen it as much as $26 a pound for gulf shrimp), the economy does not seem to be hurting much here. The beaches are still clear and the crowds are still here. Some of the expensive restaurants offer 2 for 1 entrees between 5 and 6 pm, but they did that last year also. Anyway, the rest of the evening was spent playing outside when we could, riding bikes, shopping, eating more delicious cupcakes, and eating supper with everyone at Wild Olives.
