Yesterday Was Fun

Yesterday started when Pepaw came over with gifts. What could be better to a two year old than a bag full of Playdoh and toys and a box of Nerds? Then, we went to my Mamaw's house for the best BLT ever! I mean, fresh homegrown tomatoes, bacon cooked crispy, toasted bread, and chips...YUMMY! Turner sat on the couch by Papaw and repeated everything he said about the baseball game they were watching on t.v. He was also really excited about the hand rails by Papaw's potty. Go figure. I'm sure it seemed to Turner like it took us forever to finish eating because he was really anxious to go to the bridge (deck) and see the waterfall (water fountain) in the pond. Papaw threw some bread in the water hoping the ducks would appear, but dozens of small fish came to the surface and started fighting for it. As you can imagine, Turner was very excited and would have thrown all of the bread if we had let him.
After coming home and winding down, he finally went to sleep about 9 pm, but his little mind was still going full speed. Sometime in the middle of the night, I heard him say "Mommy, I need to go potty." I ran up the stairs only to find him still sound asleep. Then at 6 am, he yelled out "I'll be careful!" Only God knows what that kid was dreaming about, but if I had to guess, I'd say it was about really cool toilets and standing on the rail of the deck to feed the fish :)
