Lawyer Up

This morning we heard Turner get out of bed and expected to see his face any minute. I checked the monitor and saw that he was actually getting back into bed with a baseball glove and baseball that we put on his nightstand because he was not allowed to have them in his bed. Mark wanted to tease him, so he called upstairs and asked Turner if he'd gotten out of bed. He admitted that he had. Mark then yelled and asked if he had gotten his baseball glove and ball. He was hesitant this time, but still admitted that he had. Mark's next question was if he was supposed to have them in his bed. Turner was silent then asked, "Where's Mommy?" Mark asked him again if he was supposed to have the glove and ball in his bed. Turner replied, "I want to see Mommy." Mark and I were both laughing. I could not help but compare him to a busted criminal that refused to answer any more questions until his lawyer was present to protect him.
