1st T-ball Practice

Turner's 1st practice went well. It was so cold from the wind that he was shivering, his eyes were watering, and his nose was running, but he never complained. He wanted me out of the field with him, but lots of other kids did the same, so that was not a problem. He got to bat a few times and did really good. The first time he hit it, he took off running and kept going right passed the base. After several other kids hit, he started going after some balls. He practiced catching and throwing to the coach, but he did not throw like he CAN throw. When they were done, all of the kids ran the bases three times. They really enjoyed that, probably because it warmed them up. Some of the kids looked really big to be three years old, and some were 1/2 of Turner's size. Some have obviously spent lots of time in the backyard with their dads, and some have never seen a ball or glove before. All in all, I'd say his first practice was a success. I was very proud of him for participating. I can't wait to see what the season brings for these little Braves!
