Boo Boo Chicken Has a Boo Boo

Yesterday was interesting. I planned a Mommy and Me day and picked Turner up from Gwen's at 2 to go to the zoo. I woke him up from his nap and he was in a good mood, but he whined when she put his shoe on. She told me that he jumped off the couch right before his nap and cried and said his toes hurt. After we got his shoe on, he said it felt better. We didn't get to the zoo until about 3 because traffic was so bad, but the front row parking spot, perfect weather, and lack of crowd more than made up for it. It wasn't until I realized that Turner would not put any weight on his foot that I knew he probably really did hurt it. He did not want to walk much, and when he did, he limped. I've never seen a kid his age limp before. It was really cute and sad at the same time. Nevertheless, he had a good time at the zoo. When we got home, he just layed around and didn't try to get up much. This moring, he was still limping and said, "my foot can't walk". So, we took him to the doctor. He said that he mostly likely bruised the inside of his foot around the cartlidge. No special treatment needed. Only time will heal it. Thank goodness he's not in a constant pain and that it's not any worse. I guess next time Mrs. Gwen tells him to stop jumping off the couch, he'll obey instead of saying, "I'll be carefull" and continuing. Or, maybe he'll remember this and not try to jump off of the couch anymore.
